This morning we woke up to a phone call at the hotel asking about our car. They informed us that our car had been broken into in the middle of the night. Rhett went down and checked it out. When he came back he told me that all of our electronics were still there and the only thing gone was some random boxes and a suitcase.
It sad that this happens, and I know I should be grateful that nothing major was taken, but all I can think of is my precious STUFF. Its just stuff, but it upsets me so much. Why?! They took Rhetts Border Patrol jackets and hats. They got off with two big camelback backpacks with stuff in it, like Rhetts 80 GB Ipod and a portable DVD player.
I wish I could talk more about it, but I am just so upset about it.

That's just rotten! Why can't they just get a job so they can buy their own things? My car got broken in to in Salt Lake and I felt so violated. I hope the hotel has security video so eventually that loser gets caught. The upside is that it was just "stuff" and your family is okay. Good luck and take care.

ReplyDeleteHow awful. You know you are the second person I've read about today who had their car/home broken in to? Very weird. I don't think the holiday season is bringing out the best in people. I'm so sorry!
ReplyDeleteThat is horrible. I know the feeling because we had our car stolen out of the driveway one time. They took the car seats, radio, cd's etc. We got the car back a few days later on empty and with tobacco chew spit in it. Gross. Good luck.
