Another Movie Review & Other News
Last week I had my first sinus infection. Needless to say I was in HELL all weekend. I never want another sinus infection again, so I bought a Neti Pot, suggested by my sister. Its the strangest feeling ever. I feel like I am drowning in a pool, but at least my nose isn't stuffy anymore.

Oh. My. Goodness. I LOVED this movie! So much I went out and bought it the next day. I actually didn't know what it was about, only that my new obsession James McAvoy was in it (lol). I loved the movie for so many reasons. Helen Mirren was so wonderful and fun to watch in this movie. I found so much of my self in her, which was quite surprising (you will know what I mean when you watch it). I loved how it made you question your stand on things in life and what LOVE means to you. It was funny, sad, insightful and sweet. Everything I look for in a good movie. Very well balanced.
I love, love, love, love, love movies. I love how they make you feel, how they can take you away to another time, the different characters and story lines. I just love movies. They have taken a back seat in my life, and they have been missed. So I am making a movie night for myself once a week when the husband and kids are asleep. And I will blog about it. And you will like it.
On another note, I have realized the older I get the more I know what I like and dislike. Despite having good looking men in a movie, it doesn't mean I will like it. Take Terminator Salvation (with Sam Worthington and Christian Bale).

Two hot guys in a leading role. Most boring movie that I couldn't even finish, which is very unlike me. It was so slow and so confusing. I have seen the other terminator movies, but have come to realize, these types of movies just don't do it for me. Don't get me wrong, I am still open to try new things (I would have never tried watching Harry Potter if I was closed minded). I still may try watching the rest of TS, but we will see. I will keep you all updated.

California Trip Part 1
Last Saturday I got a call from my mom informing me that my aunt Amy was in the hospital and probably wasnt going to make it. She has been battling cancer for the last 12 years. This was a bit unexpected considering that the last few emails I got from Amy, she made it sounds like she was doing well and the treatments were going good. My mom and everyone had been out to California because Saturday the family was going to celebrate Amy's 50th birthday, but God had other plans. We held a memorial for her Thursday, which I was out there for. I drove to Utah to pick my sister up on the way down there.
When I first got to Utah, we took the kids to a play area thats new at Riverwoods. We let them play for a bit and then headed home for dinner and bed. We headed to Cali the next morning. and was greeted at my Momo and Popo and family. It was emotional yet so great to hug everyone and spend time reminiscing about Amy.
Her memorial was very beautiful. I was able to finally say my good-byes, which help me have some closure. For those of you who dont know my Aunt, she never once complained about having cancer. She was always positive and saying things like "I'm going to fight this Rocky balboa style" and "This is the day the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it." Her Facebook profile was always filled with pictures of her grandson, Owen, and pictures of her garden. She loves talking to me about Glee and love being with family and friends. She loved books and was an inspiration to everyone she knew. Its tough losing her, especially since we only recently became closer thanks to Facebook.
After the memorial, we headed back to Oceanside to be with my dad's family for my Grammies 90th birthday party. The day before the party we helped set up and then just relaxed by the pool. The birthday party went amazingly well and we all had a total blast.
There is one thing I have learned from this trip: I LOVE MY FAMILY MORE THAN ANYTHING. Family is so important, if not the most important thing in this life. I love spending time with them. It truly is a little peace of Heaven every time I am with them.
Now we are back in Utah and I will post more pictures next week when we get back home. But for now, enjoy.

My Crazy Kids
Tonight after Pizza the kids played with bubbles in the back yard while Rhett and I just lounged. We came in once the bubbles had been spilled and all over our back porch and ate smores. Bad idea on my part. Especially right before bed. Which reminds me, why do my kids ALWAYS play so well right before bed but hate each other during the day!? I just cant seem to understand that.
(I also wanted to add that I didn't edit these photos in any way, so please don't judge me because they haven't been touched up!)
