My Girl

I was in the bathroom the other day noticing how beautiful the lighting was, so I had Kylee come in and be my model. It didnt last long. She hated getting her picture taken, but I got 5 minutes and some beautiful pictures of her (minus her messy hair, and the fact that we were in the bathroom)

Visitors

We had some friends come and visit for a couple days. We met them when we were in Roswell last Winter. They were up here for just two days for some training, so we met up with them at a couple parks and just enjoyed their company. Their kids are just the cutest and we had so much fun hanging out. I wish we would have had more time to spend with them.

Update

I was in Utah for a while waiting for my niece to be born, therefor the lack of all postings to the blog. I promise to update more soon. But for now here is what happened this afternoon.

I had only had 5 hours of sleep, so I took a nap when Luke and Kylee went to take theirs. I woke up about an hour later to screaming and when I took my earplugs out (yes, I have been wearing earplugs to bed for 5 years now) the screaming sounded like it might be getting closer. Its official people: Luke can crawl out of his crib. No, this is not a good thing, either. In fact, I believe that the days where I could put Luke down to bed and let him cry himself to sleep are over.

Tonight I put him down at the usual time and went down stairs to relax and watch some TV. I heard some movement that sounded like it was upstairs, but in the hallway or something. When I went to go upstairs, my little man was sitting on the stairs. He looked at me and said "play!" I attempted this three more times.

Any suggestions out there? I think I might go crazy if he does this every night. I just cant believe its gotten to this! Did I mention that he wakes up in the middle of the night?

Jumping On The Bandwagon

Yes, I am making the blog PRIVATE.

NOT because everyone else is doing it, but because there was a comment posted on my last thread about Luke from someone named "RidiculouslyHorny." His/Her comment was "lovely boy." It FREAKED ME OUT! I forwarded it Rhett and he agreed that its time to make the blog private. I hate to do this since its such an inconvenience and annoying, but if you are on Facebook I promise to always notify you when I update on my family blog, ok? Or you can just subscribe to this page and you will be notified every time we update.

So, if you want to continue reading our blog, please email me with your email address or leave a comment with your email address.

Day At The Park

Kylee was at school, and today was such a nice day, so Rhett and I decided to go to the park and let Luke play with bubbles. It started getting cold, so we didnt stay long.
I love all of Lukes facial expressions. He makes us laugh all the time. He looks so serious in the majority of the pictures, but he smiles all the time!
Right now his favorite thing is to listen to "Boom Boom Pow" from the Black Eyed Peas. He wants us to play it all the time, and will throw a fit if we dont.

Growing Old

I recently had another birthday, and although some people will cringe at the thought of getting older, i would like to think I embrace it.

The last couple days I have been thinking about things I have learned in the past 10 years. Things I wish I knew in high school. I think one of the biggest things I have learned is to know that people dont really care if you have a bad hair day, or what brand of clothes you wear. People dont really notice your every pound of weight. They remember only how you treat them, the nice things you do for them, the fun times you have... you heart.

I have learned to just let things go. Although, something may be painful to go through, I forget a few days later why I was so upset. I still consider myself sensitive, but I can now brush things off (eventually). I have learned to just laugh at myself (thanks to my husband who loves to poke fun at me... in a loving way, of course), instead of getting defensive. I know who I am now. I like who I am, and who I am growing up to be. I am excited for the things I am going to learn in the next few years.

I thank my family and friends for continuing on my journey with me, as I continually learn and experience life. I thank my family for teaching me and being patient with me. I thank all who have wished me a Happy Birthday. It meant more than you could know!

XOXO,
Courtney
