Big News...

No, we're not pregnant (praise the Lord!). But Kylee has learned how to ride her bike with no training wheels!!! This is so huge, it made me tear up a bit watching it. This is such a big event in her life.

The weather has been really nice (but mild) this Summer. One day Rhett decided it was time for Kylee to learn how to ride with no training wheels. We took her to an empty parking lot near Rachel's house and on her first try she rode all by herself. The problem, however, is that she scares herself. She doubts her mad skills and thats when she wobbles for a but and crashes. But she is one tough cookie. Even when she did fall, she didnt cry. She just got right back up on the bike and tried again.

After we all went for $1 ice cream at McDonalds.

No Longer Private

No one read our blog when we made it private, and lets face it, whats the point of a blog if no one reads it?!

We'll give it one more chance, but if there are an y more weirdo's commenting on the blog, we're going private for good!

4th of July

The day was pretty crazy, starting at 6 am. Rhett was going to be in the Blaine parade with some of his coworkers. I had a booth at the Blaine fair with a few of my crafts (cards and frames mainly) and had to set up at 9. It started out slow but I got some business and some leads for photography and where to sell my crafts. After the fair I headed back to the house and cleaned, getting ready for Joy and Steve to come over. We had hot dogs and hamburgers, which were de-lish! After we enjoyed some fireworks Joy brought over. Some of them were a bit too loud for Luke, but for the most part he really enjoyed the festivities. We were probably the first ones on the block to light up the fireworks, but what do you when you have young kids with early bed times?! LOL
Later Rhett took Kylee to see the "big fireworks" at Boulevard Park. They didnt get home until almost 11PM. So far her behavior has been okay for not getting a ton of sleep.

My Girl

I was in the bathroom the other day noticing how beautiful the lighting was, so I had Kylee come in and be my model. It didnt last long. She hated getting her picture taken, but I got 5 minutes and some beautiful pictures of her (minus her messy hair, and the fact that we were in the bathroom)

Visitors

We had some friends come and visit for a couple days. We met them when we were in Roswell last Winter. They were up here for just two days for some training, so we met up with them at a couple parks and just enjoyed their company. Their kids are just the cutest and we had so much fun hanging out. I wish we would have had more time to spend with them.

Update

I was in Utah for a while waiting for my niece to be born, therefor the lack of all postings to the blog. I promise to update more soon. But for now here is what happened this afternoon.

I had only had 5 hours of sleep, so I took a nap when Luke and Kylee went to take theirs. I woke up about an hour later to screaming and when I took my earplugs out (yes, I have been wearing earplugs to bed for 5 years now) the screaming sounded like it might be getting closer. Its official people: Luke can crawl out of his crib. No, this is not a good thing, either. In fact, I believe that the days where I could put Luke down to bed and let him cry himself to sleep are over.

Tonight I put him down at the usual time and went down stairs to relax and watch some TV. I heard some movement that sounded like it was upstairs, but in the hallway or something. When I went to go upstairs, my little man was sitting on the stairs. He looked at me and said "play!" I attempted this three more times.

Any suggestions out there? I think I might go crazy if he does this every night. I just cant believe its gotten to this! Did I mention that he wakes up in the middle of the night?
