I Remembered Something...

When we were at Disneyland, after getting off a ride I asked Kylee is she had fun. She said "no." I said "you didnt have fun? Why?" She said back to me "Oh! I thought you asked if I had farted."

Thought I would share this. It makes me laugh every time I think about it.

Yesterday at lunch:

Kylee: "I was singing a honey song and then a bee came and so I ran inside."

Halloween and A Vacation

You might have noticed how I havent blogged in a while and there is a reason for that. At the last minute Rhett found out that we were going to New Mexico again and I was left to take the kids to California by myself (not too bad considering I had my family there to help me out).
We celebrated my sister and brothers birthday while we were there. Uncle Mike stepped in to be the father role (and he's going to be such an awesome daddy, too!). It was really heaven on earth being at Disneyland with my family. Kylee was finally tall enough to go on all the good rides (with the exception of Indiana Jones and California Screamin'). She was so brave and went on all the big rides and actually enjoyed them too. She wasnt too sure of Star Tours and refused to go on it again. She calls it the "toyota ride" (I am guessing because its the yoda ride?) She even liked Tower of Terror and wanted to go on it again and again, but we couldnt. She was shaking every time we'd drop, but she still liked it, go figure. Like mother like daughter =)
While we were there I was able to go to a CONAN OBRIEN show!!!! Best thing you could ever do, by the way! I was laughing so hard that people were looking at me. I loved it though. I hated the waiting around... 4 hours is no fun.

Our flight got in to New Mexico in the afternoon and we made it right on time for Halloween and seeing our friends at the wards trunk or treat. It was so good to be back! Kylee was so happy to see her friends again, as was I to see mine.
More stories to come!!!

procrastination means you wont be able to find a costume on Halloween night, so this is what we came up with. Nothing like the last minute costume.

Kylee kept changing her mind about what she wanted to be but she finally decided on a fairy god mother. this is what i could find.

Ky was so excited to see snow white!

Lukes first Disneyland ride ever... Alice in Wonderland... and he cried practically the whole way through. In fact he hated Disneyland. I dont think he is my kid.

Cute outfit brought to you by Grandma Leesa

One of kylee's favorite things to do is go for a ride on popo's cart. Luke took a ride too, but wasnt totally up for it.

Before we left Kylee had an ear infection so she was put on anti-biotics, and this is a reaction she had after a week of taking it. The doctors said her body was through with it and it was starting to reject it.

Luke fond this ball at the pool and walked around the pool with it.

the kids had so much fun with uncle mike.

after her haircut. its so cute!

before her haircut. unruly hair.

after his haircut. cleaned up in the back

luke's first haircut

ky fell asleep right before the fireworks. we tried waking her and she just wouldnt. she finally work up, but it took a lot of work. lol

the fairly like was ridiculously long and i probably wouldnt do it again, but I really wanted kylee to meet the fairy's she watches on tv. she was so excited she talked their ears off about nothing.

kylee LOVED the river rapids ride. she calls it the "rabbits"ride, instead of rapids.

thunder mountain. she giggles the whole ride.
space mountain. her FAVORITE ride. she loves the scary stuff.

Homesick

I dont know what it is... maybe the Fall, but I have been so homesick for Utah and being with my family. This is my favorite season and it reminds me of growing up in Utah. Its also time for the holidays, and thats always been a time for me to be with my family. I miss them so much. And even though we will see them in just a couple weeks, I really miss seeing them every day.

We Have A Walker!!!

We FINALLY have a walker! He's now almost 16 months and is now just starting to walk on his own. He can walk across the room, but as soon as you "notice" him (say the word walk or start clapping) he will get down and start crawling again.

This is how he gets up. Its kind of funny. He's a wobbly walker.
