25 Random Things About Me

I got tagged today on Facebook to do this. Thanks Rachel ;) I have been trying to avoid this, just cos if I am tagged, I feel like I am obligated to do it. 

1- I am a total germaphobe. My fears have grown much bigger the older I get. Maybe its cos I am more aware.

2- Though I am quite outgoing, I am incredibly self-conscious and insecure.

3- When I was younger I used to think that if I "acted" all the time, maybe an agent would notice me and put me in a film. That was always, and still, is a dream of mine. Thats probably why I was such a strange kid... I was always "acting." Ha ha.

4- I love to sing, and would love to make an album, but I dont really like the sound of my voice. I dont think I have ever told anyone that.

5- Growing up, I knew I was meant to be a mother. When I found out I was pregnant with Kylee, I have never been more terrified in my life. 

6- I hate confrontation and when I get angry, I tend to cry.

7- I have always wanted to speak French. Its so beautiful.

8- I love movies and film. I feel like I am a pretty good movie buff. 

9- I love to laugh... really hard, to the point of crying. 

10- I have recently found a new addiction... Diet Coke. 

11- I love my family so much. I love the bond that we have. I really wanted Kylee to have a sister so that she could experience the bond that I have with my sister. But I am glad I have Luke, and I know Kylee and Luke will be very close growing up.

12- I LOVE, truly LOVE, Nordstrom. I think I fell in love when I was younger and my dad would take me there. I blame my dad for my obsession.

13- I may scrapbook, make cards and digital scrapbook, but I do not consider myself crafty. I am very hard on myself and have a high expectation for things.

14- I am terrified of big cities but I love them at the same time. They fascinate me.

15- I love romantic stuff, but real cheesy stuff bug me so bad. 

16- I hate lipstick

17- I used to write poetry, and would love to get back to my roots some day and write a book. Its been several years since I wrote anything.

18- I envy my sisters beauty, but whats new?!

19- I am obsessed with Disneyland. Just ask my family.

20- My eyes are my favorite feature.

21- I think I love music too much. Its tough to explain. 

22- I love cooking, the motions of cooking, but I hate my food. Its easier to eat other peoples food.

23- My parents divorce was the best thing that happened in my life. I love my step parents so much and couldnt imagine my life any other way. 

24- I used to fly ALL THE TIME when I was younger, but I am terrified of planes now that I am older. Again, I think its because I am more aware.

25- I hate doing these things. I always tell people too much and then regret later.

Funny Prayer

I know, prayers shouldnt be funny, but when your almost 4 year old is saying it- well, it can be! First, let me explain that last October Kylee went to a birthday party and got this cool balloon. She had left it in the car, and when we opened the door, it went flying away. I felt awful! I told Kylee that Heavenly Father and Jesus would hold on to it up in Heaven (which brought on a bunch of deep conversations I was hoping to avoid until she got older). I thought she had forgotten about it, until the other night when she was saying the prayer to bless the food. She said "I cant wait to have my balloon." At first I thought maybe she was talking about this balloon from this party, but quickly thought she couldnt be thinking about that... how could she even remember it? But when we asked her what balloon she was talking about she said "the one from Andrew's party." We had a great laugh about that. She really is so smart and remembers EVERYTHING... Which scares me actually. 

Luke's new moves

Two days ago Luke started crawling forward... but not with his knees. He moves like he's doing the worm. Its really funny to watch. I have been trying to post the video I took, but its not been working for some reason. And today he started holding his bottle all by himself. THANK GOODNESS! Hes just shy of 8 months and all of this new stuff is coming on pretty quickly. 

Kylee

She is the funniest little girl! Right now she's really into playing pretend. She just came up to me and said "do you know how kitties say 'I love you'? They lick each other." And then she licked me. Shes been licking my arm and face all night. As gross as it is, it does put a smile on my face. 

The other funny thing she does is when she talks, she moved her eyebrows up and down. Its so dang funny to watch! 

Retired

We retired the Bumbo cos Luke gets out of it easily. We decided to return it and get a portable high-chair which Luke tried out tonight. His appetite is slowly coming back. He wouldnt eat anything while he was sick with a cold this last month. I am so glad he's feeling better (even though he still has a nasty cough)

Roswell Zoo

The Roswell Zoo is free, and limited on animals, but still very cool. Kylee had so much fun! Here are some pictures from our visit today.

ky was afraid of this lion drinking fountain. rhett had to put in his head so she would.

my little buddy

this lama was hysterical! it was way back in the corner and when it saw us approaching it ran over to us. it kind of freaked me out cos i thought it might attack us, but i guess he just wanted to say hello. it chased kylee around when she would run. she got the biggest kick out of him running after her.

peacocks just wander around wild at the zoo. kylee loved feeding it bread... not sure we were supposed to.

i was really fascinated by this beautiful white rooster. 

we have no clue what this is, but we figured that a bunny must have mated with a goat or dog or something. the sign said its actually a rodent. gross!
